Founded in 2014, Asia Hickman Music, Inc. (AHM) is an independent 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering commitment and creativity opportunities through music for underprivileged youth ranging from 5-15 years of age.  Our goal is to educate the youth of the community by offering an entry into the art of music.  We believe that the musical arts are a critical part of a child’s life and can inspire them to thrive.

Asia founded AHM at the age of 11, and began teaching family and friends at school during breaks.  Often being requested to play during breaks at school, Asia felt that she was inspiring other children, and wanted to continue doing so.  She started giving after school lessons to a friend whose parents could not afford piano lessons, but wanted to learn.  Asia would teach her everything that she learned during her lessons from the day prior.

We believe that children inspire other children; and this program was developed where children lead other children through musical training and education sessions.  Currently, AHM focus is on children living within the surrounding boroughs of New York City.

Asia Hickman Music, Inc. (AHM) strives to motivate, teach, inspire, and build self-confidence by providing music lessons to underprivileged children. We believe that through commitment and dedication, the musical arts build strength and character in children’s lives. AHM wishes every child could have the opportunity to develop a musical passion and thrive; thus, we are 100% committed to providing our students with quality learning experiences that will foster growth, achievement, and excellence.

*If you live in any state outside of New York and are interested, please contact us, as we will do our best to pair you with someone in your area that would be suitable for your child.  AHM carefully matches children with an instructor based on availability.
